ive given up on trying to title my letters. kidding, i found one.  

but i am doing good. we had two investigators in church this week. but then we found out that one of them is moving to the area of the hermanas..... ha at this point its just sad. haha but oh well. we have a few people that are coming along really well. our president came out with a new plan for the mission. a new way to contact. with the ultimate goal that we are going to baptize 5 people in every area with 500 baptisms within the next two months and two weeks. crazy. but yeah. the plan is fun. i havent really got to try it. when we did it i had a division with president so yeah but they said it was cool. 

oh. ahh. so we had an asado this thursday. thats just a barbeque. but it was like a table of cement and had a piece of that tin roofing sitting on top. so we moved one of them and found a cockroach but it ran under the other one. well do you remember the part in lion king where timon and pumba lift up the log and all the bugs run around and you were like oh thats so cool!!! well i can tell you that it is not that cool. it is a pit of sadness. hahaha when all the bugs are blue and yellow its looks fun but when they are big and angry, not a fan. 

ha it was super funny. we threw rocks at the bigs ones as they ran along the walls. 

but all is well. doing good. gotta write pres and head out. 

the next time i write i will have 8 months in the mission! cray!!

Already Half Way (with this transfer)

This transfer is flying by. my comp and i have already been together for three weeks and it feels like nothing. crazy. 

but i am now in a trio. we got a brand new elder from brazil. elder da Silva. he is a goofy bugger but funny. man he likes to ask questions. he is trying to learn spanish and also wants to learn english so he asks how to say something in spanish and then in english and why we do this and where are we going and why and oh boy hahaha its funny. but he is a really good Elder. 

WE HAD PEOPLE IN CHURCH!!!! WOOT WOOT

so wednesday we decided to go back for a contact that seemed way too pumped to see us the week before so we decided to find out why. so we went and found him and his señora there. so we taught them and at the end i did the baptismal invite. well only to find out HEY the lady is already a member. hahahaha gerrr. but the guy isnt. the only problem. theyre not married and he came to our lesson saturday drunk as a monk with a skunk. but yeah. well somehow, i dont know how, they came to church sunday morning!!!! ha super cool!!! so we have a lot of work to do with them but i think that we will be able to do it. oh. names, marcelo y Mielta. Mielta is the member i committed to baptism. haha 

then we have rodrigo. he is an eternal investigator that is now beginning to progress. super cool. he has better studies than i do. haha seriously the guy is going ape on his reading and all that. but he too is living with a member.... ugh!!! 

so this week we had zone conference with was fun. Elder Johnson was there and it was super fun to see one of my old bros again. other than that the week went pretty chill. until this morning. 

i have a super funny video but i dont know how or if i can send it. 

we were cleaning the pench this morning and Elder da Silva was like, ahhh there is a mouse under there!!!   ....and so it begun. we started pulling out everything in the kitchen. i stood back with our broken broom(the same broom which we broke trying to kill a different mouse like two months ago.) well it came flying out, we all started yelling, i was chasing it around swiping at it. well it then ran to our bedroom. so we pulled out everything and it came out again and this time

 made contact. well it was a tough bugger and guess what. it is now living in this giant hole i have under my bed..... we moved my bed. 

haha but it was a really funny half hour. 

we found some cool people. and i am really starting to feel how it is when the Spirit starts talking through you. i asked an investigator if she thought god was perfect. haha she looked puzzled and was like.... idk

no one has ever asked. and then i started talking and seriously i taught myself. it was really cool. it happened a couple times last week. but i am trying to work hard and do this work right. having fun=)

Feb 10, Oh Boy! This was a weird week!

this was a really weird week. ha well only one day was what made it weird. 

so we were walking down the street, ha this story... ok, so we were walking and this guy ahead of us was sweeping. well when he looked up and saw us he grabbed the broom all weird and started talking to himself.... straight up i was getting ready for a throw down=) but we kept walking towards him and when we got close... he hit my comp in the face.   

haha kidding. no he was like super nice. we was pretty handicapped but he was happy and stuff, i assume, he talked weird so i couldnt understand too well. but he started to shake my comps hand, and then kept shaking it, and shaking, literally like 30 seconds. you could cut the awkward with a spoon. well then it was my turn. so i shook his hand. well i dont know if you guys know this, but down here it is a custom to do that italian kiss the cheeks. ha well thank heavens i was tall cause he went up on his tippy toes and said da me un beso. basically touch your cheek to mine. hahahaha!!! i was like na bro, chao, we will talk later, all that. so i tried to leave and he held me there. and let the record show that i tried to avoid this!!!!! but yeah....... a guy kissed my cheek..... IT WAS AWFUL!!!!! hahahaha i walked away like i got shot. my comp and i laughed for two full blocks. it was hilarious but just about the worst experience of my life. hahaha but i made it through and came out the other side a stronger man hahaha =)

uh. man that was seriously the worst. 

oh so basically a lot investigators bailed. Victor, the coolish one with three kids, yeah he is gone. i dont get people. why dont they just tell us that they arent down anymore and we dont need to come back. we got there and he faked sick and was fake sneezing, really it was funny but yeah. then we got home and looked at our phone to see that like a half hour before we got there he sent us a message for us not to come cause he was going to a wedding. haha alright dude. but thats fine. 

uh, mabel, she got mad, she just hates men. haha funny stories there. but yeah. oh she also got mad at us cause we helped her wash her car but we did it incorrectly. hahaha

seriously i dont know what it is but the funniest things that have happened to me on my mission are when people try to shut us down or just yell at us. frankly i love it. its so funny. still having a lot of firsts so thats keeping it fun=)

oh. but in all this we found a diamond in the coal mine. so when i got here we visited a guy who is living with a member. rodrigo. he told us that he wanted an answer but really just didnt want to do anything to get one. well we decided to go by a couple days ago. and o my gooness. We found him with the Bible, Book of Mormon, and Gospel Principles books open on the table marking, writing, going crazy. it was awesome!!! he wants to get baptized and is totally sure. but we gotta get them married. so we are going to literally go with them to the offices to do it all and get him in the water as soon as possible before this whole excitement goes away. but yeah. 

and we found a sweet family. they are doing well. but i am doing good. my comp is cool. we laugh a lot. yesterday we contacted a fool and it was a blast.

So i sent Elder Fernandez on his way to be a Zone Leader in Santa Fe.

He is going back to the exact ward that he served in right before coming to Casilda. 

Crazy huh. But he will do well. so my new companion is elder Ponce. and he is

from mexico. ha hes super chill. we get along really well. we talk and joke and its

just super funny. we have kinda the same sense of humor. and guess what! i can now make jokes in spanish!!! yeah i know right!!! but super funny.

so we kinda had a tough week especially number wise. monday and tuesday we did nothing cause elder fernandez was getting ready to go and wednesday i went to pick up Ponce. So i am still compañero menor but for about the next two or three weeks i will be mayor because he doesnt know what he is doing. so that has been really fun. i am learning a lot. what kinda stinks is that i realized, with elder fernandez we knocked like 100 doors every week. well now when i look at the map of the area, we have nowhere to contact... haha!!! yay!!! so now we are just picking houses where i either dont remember knocking or think they werent home when we did. haha but yeah. every appt we had, fell. so that was funny. but it will all work out. 

well nothing too funny in specific to tell you all this week. plus we are writing from the church and ponce has to write so i gotta jump off. but have a great week!
